The goal is to present stimuli to hearing aid users dire= ctly from a PC via insert headphones. We would like to ask if pre-processe= d signal =93A=94 is better than pre-processed signal =93B=94, with each sou= nd consisting of a .wav file. To present the signals, we would like to pre= -process the wav files for each listener based on their audiogram using a r= easonable hearing aid prescription, such as (but not necessarily) NAL-NL2. How do I pre-process these wav files? Is there a software tool available w= here I can provide an audiogram and a wav file and it will output such a fi= le? Could somebody point me to such a tool? A free solution would be pref= erred, but I would appreciate learning about any solution. Any help / pointers would be greatly appreciated.
