This position is part of the ANR-funded HEAR-US project which aims to=20 test if and how focused ultrasound can provide direct neural excitation=20 at different sites of the auditory system. The candidate will be in=20 charge of designing and running electrophysiological experiments to=20 record multi-unit activity and local field potentials in anesthetized=20 guinea pigs. The recordings will be performed at the level of the=20 inferior colliculus and auditory cortex and the stimulation paradigms=20 will involve both electrical and ultrasonic stimulation. This project is part of a collaboration between labs of Acoustics (LMA,=20 Franceschini, Macherey), Neuroscience (LNC, Norena), Biology (IBDM,=20 Moqrich) and Physics (Kovacic Lab) and involves both in-vivo and=20 in-vitro techniques. We are looking for an adventurous and talented (who doesn=E2=80=99t?) sci= entist=20 with a strong experimental background and proficiency in running=20 electrophysiological animal experiments and data analysis.
