Submissions will be = accepted until June 7, 2021. Accepted papers will be published late 2021 an= d will be presented as part of a special session during the International C= onference on Movement and Computing 2022 (MOCO=9222). You may submit direct= ly to the Wearable Technologies website and select our special issue. Pleas= e do not be deterred by potential publication fees. Instead, we highly enco= urage you to contact the guest editors with questions or concerns about fee= s or other matters. Please see below for special issue information that is = included in the following link: https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/wea= rable-technologies/information/call-for-papers/special-issue-wearables-for-= transdisciplinary-movement-and-computing [https://static.cambridge.org/covers/WTC_0_0_0/wearable_technologies.jpg?se= nd-full-size-image=3Dtrue]<https://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/wearable= -technologies/information/call-for-papers/special-issue-wearables-for-trans= disciplinary-movement-and-computing> Special Issue: Wearables for Transdisciplinary Movement and Computing<https= ://www.cambridge.org/core/journals/wearable-technologies/information/call-f= or-papers/special-issue-wearables-for-transdisciplinary-movement-and-comput= ing> Welcome to Cambridge Core www.cambridge.org Thank you, Guest Editors: Antonia Zaferiou, Ph.D. Vilelmini Kalampratsidou, Ph.D. Gregory Corness, Ph.D. Fr=E9d=E9ric Bevilacqua, Ph.D. Call for Submissions: Wearables for Transdisciplinary Movement and Computin= g Wearable technologies play an important role in innovations in fields inter= secting movement and computing, fuelled by research across many disciplines= . This special section of Wearable Technologies will gather research focusi= ng on areas of wearable technology, for accessing movement data used in ana= lysis or embodied interface design, and targeting applications in Performin= g Arts, Entertainment, Sports, Education and Human-Computer Interaction. The International Conference on Movement and Computing (MOCO) and its commu= nity develops computational technology to support and understand human move= ment practice (e.g., computational analysis). The MOCO community also welco= mes the study of movement as a means of interacting with computers (e.g., h= uman-computer and human-machine interfaces). This requires an interdiscipli= nary understanding of movement that ranges from biomechanics to embodied co= gnition and the phenomenology of bodily experience. As an extension of MOCO, this special collection bridges the two creative c= ommunities of art and science and bolsters the innovative nature of MOCO=92= s transdisciplinary community of academics and practitioners. Novel technol= ogy, methodologies, and perspectives described in this special collection w= ill provide cross-cutting opportunities in broader wearable technology prac= tices. This special section focuses on research in wearable technologies for trans= disciplinary movement and computing research and practices. We welcome original contributions, along with review papers, as well as rev= isions of proceedings of the International Conference on Movement and Compu= ting (MOCO). We require submissions based on previous MOCO proceedings to b= e extended or revised significantly (e.g., adding depth to describing metho= dology, or applicability to wearables, etc.), leading to at least 30% new s= cientific material or results. It is highly encouraged to re-frame your pap= er for wide transdisciplinary Wearable Technologies readership. Submissions= will require confirmation of meeting this requirement in the cover letter. We welcome contributions on the following topics: - Novel movement and wearable technologies in: * Dance and performing arts * Education * Entertainment and Gaming * Clinical diagnoses and rehabilitation * Sports and movement training * Human Computer Interaction, Embodied interaction * Gesture Studies * Sound and music * Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality * Instrumented textiles, costumes, and body-fixed instruments - Movement analysis and analytics linked to wearable systems - Computational methods, middleware, and machine learning approaches for we= arable applications - Movement analysis and analytics linked to wearable systems - Design and methodologies linked to wearable systems, including: * User-centered design * Practice based methods * First/ Second person methods - Ethics and philosophical perspectives --_000_MN2PR10MB3678884F957F4C8201BB4790C1939MN2PR10MB3678namp_ Content-Type: text/html; charset="Windows-1252" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html> <head> <meta http-equiv=3D"Content-Type" content=3D"text/html; charset=3DWindows-1= 252"> <style type=3D"text/css" style=3D"display:none;"> P {margin-top:0;margin-bo= ttom:0;} </style> </head> <body dir=3D"ltr"> <div style=3D"font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size= : 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"> <span style=3D"font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Roboto, sans= -serif; color: rgb(89, 89, 89);">Dear all,</span></div> <div style=3D"font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size= : 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"> <span style=3D"font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Roboto, sans= -serif; color: rgb(89, 89, 89);"><br> </span></div> <div style=3D"font-family: Calibri, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size= : 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"> <span style=3D"font-weight: 400; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Roboto, sans= -serif; color: rgb(89, 89, 89);">We enthusiastically invite the community t= o submit papers to our Special Issue in Wearable Technologies journal by Ca= mbridge University Press, =93</span><span style=3D"font-weight: 400; font-s= ize: 12pt; font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; color: rgb(89, 89, 89); font-st= yle: italic;">Wearables for Transdisciplinary Movement and Computing</span><span style=3D"font-wei= ght: 400; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Roboto, sans-serif; color: rgb(89, = 89, 89);">=94.
