The position is available starting fall 2020 for= two years, with possibility of renewal. Candidates are expected to have a doctoral degree in neuroscience, psycholo= gy, hearing sciences, or a related field, strong quantitative skills, and a= good publication record. We are seeking candidates with prior experience i= n neuroimaging (especially fMRI) and in applying advanced analysis methods = to high-dimensional data. The candidate will have access to state-of-the-ar= t brain imaging (MRI, NIRS, EEG) and computing facilities. Dr. Elise Piazza=92s research focuses on the cognitive and neural mechanism= s of human auditory perception and communication across the lifespan, inclu= ding how musicians coordinate during performance, how musical training impa= cts the hierarchical organization of sounds in the brain, and how listeners= compute summary statistics (or concise =93gist=94 representations) of comp= lex sounds.
