The position is suitable for part-t= ime work. We are looking for candidates to work on a project (21 months in duration) = focusing on the role of auditory stream segregation in speech perception. W= ithin this project the contribution of various auditory grouping cues to sp= eech intelligibility will be investigated with dedicated signal manipulatio= n techniques and listening tests. The acoustics group focuses on research in auditory perception, both coveri= ng fundamental and applied research questions and utilizes this knowledge t= o develop innovative approaches in the fields of computational auditory sce= ne analysis, and virtual acoustics. The University of Oldenburg is known fo= r its wide range of activities in hearing research and offers an excellent = environment for a PostDoc project in auditory perception. The successful candidate is expected to conduct research in auditory percep= tion leading to scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and to co= ntribute to the teaching and supervision of students. The candidate must have an academic university degree (Master or equivalent= ) in physics or electrical engineering or equivalent and a PhD degree in au= ditory perception. Experience with audio signal processing and auditory mod= elling is required.
