Arnaud Norena* at Laboratory of *Integrative and Adaptive Neuroscience*, CNRS-Aix-Marseille University, Marseille, France. https://lnsc.fr/equipe/dynamique-neuronale-et-audition/ Our group is studying the auditory perception, the neural correlates of auditory perception and the plasticity of auditory centers due to specific acoustic environment or cochlear hearing loss. We have also a strong interest in computational and theoretical neuroscience (neural coding and system dynamics). Marseille is a vibrant city in an exceptional environment (Mediterranean weather, sea, hills all around the city=E2=80=A6). The funding is for a min= imum of 1 year and the salary will be competitive. We are looking for a highly motivated candidates to be involved in a project aimed at investigating the cortical and sub-cortical plasticity triggered by cochlear hearing loss (and potentially associated to tinnitus =E2=80=93 =E2=80=9Cthe auditory phantom perception=E2=80=9D) from multi-uni= t cortical recordings and local field potentials. The project is also aimed at understanding further the molecular mechanisms of plasticity, in particular the inhibitory neurotransmission and the putative role played by chloride homeostasis.
