Two research = programs are conducted in RASAL. Research on audiovisual speech = perception examines: the integration of audio and visual (lipread) = speech; the visual information for lipreading; the relationship between = face and voice information; inadvertent imitation of audio and visual = speech; and cross modal learning of speech and speaker perception. = Research on general auditory perception examines: auditory affordances; = auditory distance perception; human echolocation; and perception of = approaching sound sources including hybrid cars. The UCR Department of Psychology has facilities to conduct research = using advanced behavioral, EEG, and fMRI methodologies.
