CLASSIFICATION: UNCLASSIFIED I may be in the minority, but I tend to agree with Roy Patterson. I think t= hat unless someone is willing to take on the work of migrating a list, I'd = vote for the simplest, most automated solution. I'm not so concerned with p= rivacy - I'd be posting on a public forum, one that has previously been sea= rchable using google. I'm more concerned with usability and survivability. = Our list admin has made a huge contribution of his time to oversee this for= um. It makes sense to choose a platform that is familiar and easy to use. T= hose who have administered lists on google groups all seem to like it. That= is a solid plus. There are other options, and I don't think that they can = be ruled out just yet, but I would support any decision made by Dan Ellis. = Thanks for your service! Have you managed mailing lists yourself? Can you back up your last point he= re? I would it rephrase as follows. We have every reasong to believe that movin= g the list to a google product involves considerable risks. Namely to the f= reedom of information and to our privacy.
