Al= ongside, augmented and mixed reality systems (AR and MR) can provide the us= er with complex static or dynamic sound scenarios that blend with real worl= d sound. The objective for the PhD project is to develop experimental paradigms that= can produce objective Sound Quality or Quality of Experience data for diff= erent scenarios e.g.: 1. Static listener position with a static position of sound sources (bas= e line setup), 2. Fixed listener position with dynamic positions of audio objects, 3. Dynamic listening position (e.g. the listener moves around in the roo= m) and dynamic positions of audio objects. The project is a collaborative effort between Aalborg University, Bang & Ol= ufsen a/s and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. The project will= primarily take place at the Section for Signal and Information Processing = (SIP), Department of Electronic Systems, Aalborg University with secondment= s at Bang & Olufsen and Nanyang Technological University. The successful ap= plicant must have a Master's degree in EE including human perception of sou= nd, sensory analysis of complex auditory stimuli, statistical analysis of s= ensory data, signal processing for multimedia technology or similar. Excell= ent undergraduate and master's degree grades are expected. A high level of = written and spoken English is also expected. PhD positions in Denmark are fully funded, i.e. no tuition fees, and come w= ith a salary. The salary is subject to a pay grade system based on prior wo= rking experience since completing your undergraduate degree. The yearly gro= ss salary is in the range 41.500 - 50.100 Euros.
