This position is part of a research project funded by the European Research Council (acronym _RewardedPerception, _http://cordis.europa.eu/project/rcn/207675_en.html). About us: The successful candidate will be an active member of the 'Perception and Cognition' group at the European Neuroscience Institute-Goettingen (ENI-G). The group is primarily interested in how sensory processing is modulated by cognitive factors such as attention and reward value. The projects will involve behavioral, electroencephalography, fMRI and brain stimulation experiments in humans and are funded by an ERC Starting Grant to the PI . ENI-G is engaged in experimental molecular and cellular research on the central and peripheral nervous systems as well as cognitive and systems neuroscience research. Goettingen provides a vibrant and stimulating neuroscience community with a strong background in computational as well as experimental neurosciences. Your profile: The applicant must have a PhD degree and research experience in cognitive neurosciences and neuroimaging as demonstrated by at least one first-author publication for which fMRI methodology has been used. Familiarity with EEG or brain stimulation techniques is a plus but is not mandatory. A strong background in mathematics, statistics and programming that could be applied to the analysis and computational modeling of the behavioral/brain data is mandatory for this position. Candidates are expected to be able to engage in all phases of research projects from conceiving ideas to planning and conducting experiments, analysis of data and presentation of the results with the assistance of the PI. The postdoctoral fellow should be keen on collaborative projects and is expected to assist the PI in supervision of Master's and PhD students. To this end, the candidate is expected to possess outstanding social and communicative skills and experience in supervision of students. Enthusiasm, independence, and willingness to share ideas and skills are essential. The position is initially for 2 years with the possibility of extension for one more year. Applications will be processed until the position is filled and the position will start at the earliest convenience for the candidate. Please forward your application, containing a motivation letter, CV and contacts of two referees to Arezoo Pooresmaeili a.pooresmaeili@xxxxxxxx Best Annika Ziereis Affective Neuroscience and Psychophysiology University of Goettingen 37073 Goettingen --=_3f981ca8ef9e4f822ca9fb0f00bcc018 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8

<meta http-equiv=3D"Content-Type" content=3D"text/html; charset= =3DUTF-8" />
<body style=3D'font-size: 10pt; font-family: Verdana,Gen= eva,sans-serif'>
I would like to forward the following message:

Postdoc position in Perception and Cognition Lab, Goettingen, Ge= rmany

The Perception and Cognition lab (PI: Arezoo Pooresmaeili) at the Europe= an Neuroscience Institute-Goettingen in Lower Saxony, Germany, is inviting = applications for a postdoctoral position.
