For further particulars please visit http://www.jobs.cam.ac.uk/job/16501/ Cheers Bob A position is available for a postdoctoral scientist to work on a project e= ntitled "A multi-disciplinary approach to understanding and improving heari= ng by cochlear implant users", led by Dr R. Carlyon, Prof J. Middlebrooks, = and Dr. J. Wouters. The position is funded by a Collaborative Award in Scie= nce from the Wellcome Trust and will be based at the MRC Cognition and Brai= n Sciences Unit, University of Cambridge. The project involves a combination of direct-stimulation psychophysical mea= surements, electrophysiological recordings, and computational analysis of r= esults. Computer programming skills are essential. The job will involve pro= gramming in Matlab, calibrating cochlear-implant (CI) stimuli, and performi= ng direct stimulation experiments with CIs. Experience in these roles is th= erefore desirable. The post-holder will have a degree (or equivalent) in a = numerate or auditory discipline, and will hold or be about to obtain a Ph.D= .
