Dear Colleagues, we're happy to announce this year's major release of the open Master Hearing Aid (openMHA) software for low-latency real-time signal processing tailored (but not limited) to hearing aid research. It contains several plugins that realize a reference set of hearing aid processing methods providing basic functionality: =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 - calibration =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 - multi-band dynamic range compression =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 - (adaptive) feedback cancellation monaural signal enhancement: =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 - single-channel noise reduction =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 - adaptive differential microphone and binaural processing: =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 - coherence filter =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 - beamforming algorithms =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 - sound source localization Plugins are available that implement the Open Sound Control (OSC) and the Lab Streaming Layer (LSL) protocol for communication of data and parameters in experimental setups. Manuals and tools are provided for =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 - using openMHA in different application scenarios =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 (plugin development, application en= gineering, audiological research) =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 - calibrating the output of custom hearing aid hardwar= e =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 - hearing aid fitting =C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 - implementation of new plugins =2E.. as well as a collection of ready-to-use example configurations. =3D=3D=3D This open-source (AGPL-3.0) software runs under Linux, macOS and Windows operating systems. Further information such as guides for compilation and installation on different operating systems are provided in the openMHA Github repository= : https://github.com/HoerTech-gGmbH/openMHA For more info and news add the repository to your watch-list and keep an eye on www.openMHA.org.
