--0000000000006d075c056d837672 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable A NIH-funded Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available in Dr. David Moore=E2=80=99s laboratory in the Communication Sciences Research Cen= ter (CSRC) at Cincinnati Children=E2=80=99s Hospital Medical Center to study hu= man auditory development. The objective of the research is to relate behavioral to biological measures of auditory and cognitive function to understand and predict the ability of individual children to develop healthy hearing and listening. The CSRC is a joint venture between Otolaryngology, Audiology, and Speech Pathology at Cincinnati Children's Hospital that builds on existing strengths of the institution and these departments to construct an interdisciplinary research program focused on communication development and disorders in children. Current projects include (1) listening difficulty in children, (2) hearing and interventions in very young children (0-4 years old), (3) relation of hearing to language and learning disabilities (4) hearing aid use and language learning, and (5) mobile hearing and listening assessments. Techniques used include developmental psychoacoustics, measures of cognitive performance, objective audiological measures, EEG and MRI. Qualifications: Self-motivated candidates with a strong background in neuroscience, experimental psychology, audiology, the physical sciences related to biology or a related discipline are invited to apply.
