We have also a strong interest on computational and theoretical neuroscience (neural coding and system dynamics). The PhD candidate will be funded by a *Marie Sk=C5=82odowska-Curie Action, = an Innovative Training Network, from European Commission*. The project =E2=80=9CTinnitus: Assessment, Causes, Treatments=E2=80=9D (TIN-ACT) aims t= o bridge the gap between basic fundamental research, applied clinical research and product development. TIN-ACT brings together a large consortium of researchers from different countries and with different backgrounds in the auditory field and beyond. *The present PhD fellowship is specifically devoted to developing customized acoustic stimulation to improve tinnitus condition in patients. *Tinnitus is a very common and potentially devastating condition. An estimated 50.8 million EU citizens hear tinnitus, of which 5.1 million are severely bothered by it. Residual inhibition of tinnitus is the temporary reduction or suppression of tinnitus after a prolonged acoustic stimulation. The present project aims at developing acoustic sequence that maximizes the depth and duration of tinnitus residual inhibition and at studying its long-term effects. *The ideal candidate* will be highly motivated and have a background in Auditory Neurosciences and/or Psychoacoustic, Bio-Engineering. Computer, data analysis and programming skills are mandatory (Python, C/C++, R and/or Matlab). *The following eligibility rules apply to this grant:* =C2=B7 have already received a Master=E2=80=99s Degree or equivalent =C2=B7 have no longer than 4 years of research experience following tha= t degree =C2=B7 do not already hold a PhD degree =C2=B7 have not worked, studied, or carried out main activity in France= for more than 12 months during the previous 36 months (=3Dmobility rule).
