These positions are to work on projects investigating how the human brain encodes natural speech and how that encoding is affected by attention and =E2=80=93 especially =E2=80=93 b= y visual input. The goal is to characterize the sensitivity of methods that have been recently developed to assess the neural processing of natural speech using EEG (e.g., O=E2=80=99Sullivan et al., 2014; Di Liberto et al., 2015; Crosse= et al., 2016). * Laboratory Technician =E2=80=93 EEG Lab manager. Technical support is required for research on human sensory processing in the Lalor Lab at the University of Rochester. The technician will be expected to assist with performing EEG experiments involving human subjects. * Virtual Reality Software Programmer. A position is available for a software developer to help in creating audio-visual virtual reality scenarios for cognitive neuroscience experiments in the Lalor Lab at the University of Rochester. The ideal candidate will have experience programming within the Oculus Rift environment including extensive experience with C++ and Unity and/or the Unreal Engine. Informal inquiries may be made to Dr Edmund Lalor at edmund_lalor@xxxxxxxx Please see www.lalorlab.net for more information. --=20 Edmund Lalor, PhD Associate Professor, Department of Biomedical Engineering and Department of Neuroscience, University of Rochester, Rochester, NY, USA.
