We are running some auditory imagery studies with older (60-8= 5 years) adults, and we are using audiometry to screen their hearing. Som= e of the environmental sounds we are asking participants to imagine invol= ve somewhat high frequencies. I understand that pure tone averages greater than 25 dB HL are considered= to characterize hearing loss; however, as some hearing loss is expected = with aging, I am wondering whether anyone can point me to some best pract= ices or suggestions regarding the inclusion of older adults with slight h= earing loss. It's not a psychophysical study, but the participants do nee= d to be able to hear and imagine the sounds reasonably accurately. Thanks in advance for your help, Arley Schenker --5a205bd9_6d8c5bd9_52d1 Content-Type: text/html; charset="utf-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Disposition: inline <html xmlns=3D=22http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml=22> <head> <title></title> </head> <body> <div name=3D=22messageBodySection=22 style=3D=22font-size: 14px; font-fam= ily: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystem=46ont, sans-serif;=22>Dear Auditory Li= st, <div><br /></div> <div>I am a master=E2=80=99s student working under Andrea Halpern at Buck= nell University.
