Special attention will be given to Deep Learning techniques for environmental data, including inversion, semi-supervised learning and generative models. Continuous monitoring of ecosystems can be achieved by recording and analysing their acoustic environment, or soundscape, which is the expression of the habitat quality, richness and biodiversity. Managing big acoustic data streams requires specialized tools to classify the scenes and detect/recognise the different components, e.g. biophony, geophony and anthrophony. Invited speakers are key scientists and decision-makers in this field. The first day will be devoted to terrestrial applications focusing on individual species, birds, frogs, bees, and on soundscape monitoring. The second day will set the spotlight on aquatic biodiversity assessment in rivers, lakes and oceans. --001a114a91bee4a6ff055d909e6d Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div dir=3D"ltr"><span id=3D"gmail-docs-internal-guid-b97dc3a3-a1f2-5a27-94= 40-fbd6300f81bf"><p dir=3D"ltr" style=3D"line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;ma= rgin-bottom:0pt"><span style=3D"font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(= 0,0,0);background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-= variant-ligatures:normal;font-variant-caps:normal;text-decoration:none;vert= ical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">EBD 2017 - Environmental Big Data=
<p dir=3D"ltr" style=3D"line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-b= ottom:0pt"><span style=3D"font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(0,0,0)= ;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-varian= t-ligatures:normal;font-variant-caps:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-a= lign:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">Universit=C3=A9 de Toulon,
<= p dir=3D"ltr" style=3D"line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><= span style=3D"font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(0,0,0);background-= color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant-ligatures:= normal;font-variant-caps:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baselin= e;white-space:pre-wrap">campus city centre, room FA110
<p dir=3D"= ltr" style=3D"line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><span styl= e=3D"font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(0,0,0);background-color:tra= nsparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant-ligatures:normal;fo= nt-variant-caps:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-s= pace:pre-wrap">30 nov. & 1 dec. 2017
<p dir=3D"ltr" style=3D"= line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><b style=3D"font-weight:= normal" id=3D"gmail-docs-internal-guid-b97dc3a3-a1f2-fb6d-b53b-ebe4811951e2= ">

<p dir=3D"ltr" style=3D"line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margi= n-bottom:0pt"><span style=3D"font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(0,0= ,0);background-color:transparent;font-weight:700;font-style:normal;font-var= iant-ligatures:normal;font-variant-caps:normal;text-decoration:none;vertica= l-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">Free registration (including buffet)= is required before November 15th, 2017 at:
<p dir=3D"ltr" style= =3D"line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><a href=3D"http://sa= biod.univ-tln.fr/EADM/EBD/index.html" style=3D"text-decoration:none"><span = style=3D"font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(17,85,204);background-c= olor:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant-ligatures:n= ormal;font-variant-caps:normal;text-decoration:underline;vertical-align:bas= eline;white-space:pre-wrap">http://sabiod.univ-tln.fr/EADM/EBD</= p><p dir=3D"ltr" style=3D"line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt= "><b style=3D"font-weight:normal">

<p dir=3D"ltr" style=3D"line-= height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><span style=3D"font-size:11pt= ;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(0,0,0);background-color:transparent;font-weigh= t:700;font-style:normal;font-variant-ligatures:normal;font-variant-caps:nor= mal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre-wrap">Envi= ronmental Big Data from Acquisition to Exploitation - Trends & Innovati= ons
<p dir=3D"ltr" style=3D"line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margi= n-bottom:0pt"><b style=3D"font-weight:normal">

<p dir=3D"ltr" st= yle=3D"line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><span style=3D"fo= nt-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(0,0,0);background-color:transparen= t;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant-ligatures:normal;font-vari= ant-caps:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pr= e-wrap">This workshop aims to demonstrate the needs and realisation of low = latency, long-term, big data monitoring of the biodiversity, by leveraging = advances in IoT, versatile microcontrollers, and advanced machine learning.= Special attention will be given to Deep Learning techniques for environmen= tal data, including inversion, semi-supervised learning and generative mode= ls.
<p dir=3D"ltr" style=3D"line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margi= n-bottom:0pt"><b style=3D"font-weight:normal">

<p dir=3D"ltr" st= yle=3D"line-height:1.38;margin-top:0pt;margin-bottom:0pt"><span style=3D"fo= nt-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:rgb(0,0,0);background-color:transparen= t;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant-ligatures:normal;font-vari= ant-caps:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pr= e-wrap">Continuous monitoring of ecosystems can be achieved by recording an= d analysing their acoustic environment, or soundscape, which is the express= ion of the habitat quality, richness and biodiversity.
