The position is at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ working closely with Profs. Visar Berisha and Julie Liss. About the position: We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher with a background in speech signal processing and machine learning. The research goal is to investigate data-driven models for prediction of various neurological conditions based on speech and language data. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech analytics, conversational signal processing (diarization, speaker ID, etc.), and some background in natural language processing. Making progress against this goal requires an interdisciplinary approach that spans multiple fields. It is expected that the candidate will work closely with clinicians at Mayo Clinic, industry, and with other collaborators on the project. Contact: This position can start as early as Spring 2018. For additional information and to schedule an interview, please send a CV to Prof. Visar Berisha ( visar@xxxxxxxx). For more information, please visit Prof. Berisha=E2=80=99s = website at: http://www.public.asu.edu/~visar. About the lab and location: The Signal, Analysis, Representation, and Perception lab at Arizona State University is led by Prof. Visar Berisha. The overarching goal of research conducted in this lab is to develop and apply new machine learning and statistical signal processing tools to better understand and model signal perception. With a focus on speech, the goal is to develop reliable, data-driven models that can mimic aspects of human cognition. Recent work has focused on developing new non-parametric signal processing methods and using them to model pathological speech perception. --=20 Visar Berisha, PhD Assistant Professor Fulton Entrepreneurial Professor School of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering Department of Speech and Hearing Science Arizona State University Mayo - ASU Alliance Research Fellow Department of Neurology Mayo Clinic - Scottsdale, AZ http://www.public.asu.edu/~visar Lattie F.
