We are seeking a postdoc and two PhD students to work in the Neural Mechani= sms of Human Communication Research Group led by Katharina von Kriegstein a= t the TU Dresden, Germany. Postdoc Position The main research goal of the position is to investigate behavioural and ne= uroscience principles of perceptual learning and their translation to evide= nce-based teaching and training programmes. For more information on the pos= ition and application instructions see: http://tinyurl.com/y9396qdd PhD positions The main research goal of the two positions is to investigate behavioural a= nd neuroscience principles of voice and face perception (identity and speec= h) in neurotypical populations as well as in populations with developmental= person recognition deficits (i.e. phonagnosia and prosopagnosia). For more= information on the position and application instructions see: http://tinyu= rl.com/ybvodeqo The Human Communication Research Group is currently based at the Max Planck= Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Leipzig (MPI-CBS; www.= cbs.mpg.de/independent-research-groups/human-communication) and will be new= ly established at the TU Dresden. The TU Dresden offers an excellent, inter= disciplinary scientific environment. Research will be carried out at the De= partment of Psychology of the TU Dresden, which houses a Neuroimaging Centr= e (http://www.nic-tud.de). The centre is equipped with a research-only 3-T= esla MRI machine, MRI-compatible eye tracking, EEG systems, and a neurostim= ulation unit including neuronavigaton, TMS and tDCS devices. All experiment= al facilities are supported by experienced physics and IT staff. For analys= es with high computational demands, there is access to the TU Dresden high-= performance computing clusters. There are also strong existing collaboratio= ns with the MPI-CBS in Leipzig involving 7 Tesla-MRI, Connectome scanner, a= nd MEG data acquisitions. --- Prof. Dr. Katharina von Kriegstein Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences Stephanstr. 1A, 04103 Leipzig, Germany Technische Universit=C3=A4t Dresden Bamberger Str. 7, 01187 Dresden, Germany Phone +49 (0) 341-9940-2476 http://www.cbs.mpg.de/independent-research-groups/human-communication https://twitter.com/kvonkriegstein
