The position is to work on a Google Faculty Award funded project, DeepArt, that will be using articulatory representations and deep learning to develop robust automatic speech recognition systems for dysarthric speakers. The post is funded for 12 months in the first instance. Key Requirements The successful applicant will have a PhD in a relevant area, experience in speech signal processing, and a proven ability to conduct high-quality original research and prepare results for publication. Other essential skills include experience in scientific programming, an ability to work effectively as part of a team and written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience with automatic speech recognition would be desirable.
