The Research Analyst-III will work under the supervision of Lab Director Re= yna Gordon, PhD (Department of Otolaryngology, Vanderbilt University Medica= l Center). This individual will be responsible for implementation, coordina= ting, troubleshooting, and data analysis of studies on rhythm and language = skills in children and adults using behavioral assessments, neuroimaging (E= EG), and genomic approaches. The RA-III will work collaboratively with stud= ents, staff, and the PI to carry out a series of ongoing studies and plan n= ew studies that investigate the biological basis of music and speech and te= st the impact of music training on language skills. Prior experience with m= usic cognition, language development research, and experience with young ch= ildren in a research setting preferred; prior experience with EEG and/or Ge= nomic research a plus. This is an ideal position for an individual with a l= ong-term interest in music cognition and language development research to g= et experience with a wide variety of methodologies.
