Dear List, We are inviting applications for a continuing (i.e. permanent) position of = Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Audiology at the University of Canterbury. Th= is status is equivalent to a (tenured) Assistant Professor in the US system= . As the successful appointee, you will be required to develop and teach unde= rgraduate and postgraduate courses in areas relevant to Audiology, preferab= ly with a specialism in paediatrics. Additional expertise in auditory proce= ssing disorders would be an advantage. You will be able to teach individually and collaboratively where required, = supervise student research, particularly for students enrolled in the Maste= r of Audiology and PhD programmes, while being an effective mentor for post= graduate research students. You must have a demonstrated capacity to extend= your own research portfolio, and to develop and maintain links with releva= nt community organizations, professional bodies and colleagues nationally a= nd internationally. A record of excellent research and publications within = the field of Audiology is a key requirement, with a more extensive and adva= nced research and publication track-record required for appointment at adva= nced level. Evidence of a commitment to excellent teaching and research, al= ong with potential or demonstrated ability to lead research programmes and = gain external funding will be required. You must have a PhD in Audiology and be eligible for full membership of the= New Zealand Audiological Society, or equivalent.
