The successful candidate will be co-supervised by Dr Ana Tajadura-Jim=C3=A9= nez at Universidad Loyola Andaluc=C3=ADa (https://www.researchgate.net/ profile/Ana_Tajadura-Jimenez goo.gl/otfcpH) and Dr. Fr=C3=A9d=C3=A9ric Bevilacqua, at IRCAM (Sound Music Movement Interaction team, http://ismm.ircam.fr, http://frederic-bevilacqua.net). Visits and working time at IRCAM will be possible, pending Budget availability. The appointee will join a multidisciplinary and international team to work within the framework of the Spanish-funded project *"MAGICSHOES: Changing sedentary lifestyles by altering mental body representation using sensory feedback=E2=80=9D *www.magicshoesproject.com. The aim of MAGICSHOES is to c= onduct a systematic study of novel applications that integrate body-tracking and sound feedback and which can make a positive impact on emotional and physical health. The tasks of the appointee will involve designing wearable prototypes integrating body-tracking and sound feedback, and conducting experimental studies using a variety of HCI, psychophysical and psychophysiological methods. This PhD studentship is funded by the Spanish Government and applications are currently closed, but we expect them to open soon.
