Dear List Members, I have just responded to Joana Vieira's request for our papers on auditory warning sounds. I sent her pdfs of the first two reports she requested (Patterson, 1982 & Patterson et al., 1986). The third one (dated 1980) was a preliminary report which now appears as APPENDIX B of the first one on her list (CAA report No. 82017). If anyone one wants a copy of these reports, just send me a note. By the way, you are welcome to pass copies of the reports to anyone else who might be interested. Finally, you might like to know that we published a more accessible summary of our auditory warning research and the principles of auditory warning systems in 1990. Patterson, R.D. (1990). Auditory warning sounds in the work environment. Phil. Trans. R. Soc. Lond. B 327, 485-492. I can provide a pdf of the paper as well on request. Best regards, Roy Patterson > PATTERSON, R.D. (1982).
