The positions could be postdoctoral or predoctoral, depending on the candidate. Job Description MIT=E2=80=99s Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences seeks to hire thre= e Postdoctoral Associates or Technical Associates in Computational Cognitive Neuroscience to participate in the IBM-MIT Initiative for Brain-inspired Multi Media Machine Comprehension. The project=E2=80=99s goals are to devel= op brain-inspired methods for understanding audio-video events and scenes. Strong quantitative and coding skills, expertise in machine learning, and a serious interest in computational neuroscience research are essential. Knowledge of image/video/speech/audio processing and signal processing more generally is advantageous. Each postdoc or technician will work under the supervision of Drs. Aude Oliva, Jim DiCarlo, or Josh McDermott, but will engage collaboratively with all three PIs and with researchers at IBM. Job Requirements Postdoctoral Associate: A PhD in a quantitative field of science, preferably engineering, computer science, physics, or math Technical Associate: a bachelor=E2=80=99s degree in a quantitative field of science, preferably computer science, physics, engineering, or math (master=E2=80=99s degree preferred) Required for either position: a minimum of two years of extensive programming experience. Must be organized, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
