DAFx17 is organised by the Acoustics and Audio Group, which is a university= -wide research group at the University of Edinburgh including staff members= from the Edinburgh College of Art, the School of Engineering, and the Scho= ol of Physics and Astronomy. The conference website is at: http://www.dafx17.eca.ed.ac.uk The conference will be hosted at university facilities and will feature ora= l and poster presentations of accepted papers, keynote addresses, tutorials= and demonstrations, and a social program. This annual conference is a coming together of those working across the glo= be in research relating to digital audio processing for music and speech, s= ound art, acoustics and related applications. We would like to invite submi= ssions of papers for presentation at DAFx17 within the following general ar= eas: * Capture and analysis * Representation, transformation and modelling * Transmission and resynthesis * Effects and manipulation * Perception, psychoacoustics and evaluation * Spatial sound analysis, coding and synthesis * Source separation * Sound synthesis, composition and sonification * Hardware and software design At DAFx17 we especially encourage submissions addressing: * 3D audio techniques and spatial audio * Physical modelling, virtual acoustic and analogue models Prospective authors are invited to submit full-length papers, eight pages m= aximum, for both oral and poster presentations, before March 31st, 2017. Submitted papers must be camera-ready and conform to format specified in th= e templates and the instructions available at the DAFx17 website. All submi= ssions are subject to peer review. Acceptance may be conditional upon chang= es being made to the paper as directed by reviewers. Final versions of the = accepted contributions will be made freely accessible on the conference web= site after the conference closure, and printed conference proceedings will = be available on demand. The proceedings will be submitted to ISI and Scopus indexing services. Best= papers will be invited for submission to the Journal of the Audio Engineer= ing Society. A PDF of the call for papers is also attached to this email. If you have any questions about the conference, please contact the Committe= e at: dafx17@xxxxxxxx We look forward to receiving your submissions, and to welcoming you to Edin= burgh in 2017.
