You should be passionate about experimenting with new audio designs and experienced in implementing them for production. You will directly own the design, implementation, and testing of a virtual reality audio system across the lifecycle from initial conception to mass production. Responsibilities * Ownership of the audio system on hardware projects through design, integration, test and manufacturing * Collaborating with mechanical engineers on the integration and implementation process * Acoustic development of transducers for headphone, speakers and microphone systems * Audio algorithm digital signal processing (DSP) tuning for echo cancellers, noise suppression, equalizers, filters, etc. * Electrical design of audio systems including component selection (CODEC, audio amplifiers, microphones, etc.) * Acoustic simulation of transducers and modules using lumped sum and FEM tools * Develop new technologies, prototypes, and drive the audio VR roadmap * Work with vendors to create customized transducers to meet high performance requirements * Develop all audio factory test stations and drive manufacturing processes * Travel requirements: 10-15% Minimum Qualification * BS in Engineering: Electrical, Physics, Acoustics or equivalent practical experience * 5+ years of experience in audio system design * Experience with electrical design of audio systems * Experience with simulation software (MicroCap, COMSOL, etc.) * Experience in designing and shipping consumer products that includes audio systems * Skilled in audio acoustic measurements including using equipment from Audio Precision, SoundCheck, G.R.A.S, Bruel & Kjaer, and/or HEAD acoustics * Knowledgeable in acoustic design methodology * Knowledgeable in audio signal processing algorithms and how to tune them * Experience developing a subsystem or product to completion Apply Online https://www.facebook.com/careers/jobs/a0I1200000JXb7ZEAT/ --94eb2c04347a8712d7053fb57567 Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div dir=3D"ltr"><div><div>Audio Systems Engineer</div><div>(Menlo Park, CA= )</div><div><br></div><div>As an Audio systems engineer at Oculus, you will= research and design systems to push forward the state of virtual reality a= cross the fields of acoustics, audio DSP tuning and audio electrical design= .
