Dear colleagues, We are developing an Automatic Chord Progression Generation System. This=20 model makes use of a number of automatically extracted music parameters,=20 namely harmonic rhythm, harmonic transitions and harmonic structures to=20 characterize musical styles. This model is then used by our autonomous=20 algorithm to generate symbolic chord progressions based on the=20 characterized style. The main hypothesis of the proposed work is that the system is able to=20 learn style-based composition rules, and replicate them in the generated=20 progressions. The aim of this survey is to evaluate if the style=20 replication process is successfully performed and the chord progression=20 generated can be misled with the ones created by real human composers.
