Please apply at: https://workforcenow.adp.com/jobs/apply/posting.html?client=ERLNS&jobId# More information about Earlens is at: http://earlens.com —Brent SUMMARY: Earlens is looking for a Research Audiologist who has experience with clinical trials or is eager to learn how to execute audiological research involving a new technology-hearing device. The Research Audiologist reports into the Director of Clinical Research and is responsible for executing clinical research studies at Earlens Corporation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned as necessary): • Develop clinical study protocols and prepare reports summarizing the methods, results, and key findings. • Support research activities such as conference attendance, paper writing, journal seminars. • Prepare IRB submissions for approval of clinical studies. • Assist with recruitment and screening of appropriate study subjects. • Conduct audiometric testing and counsel subjects. • Assist otologists with exams, device placements/removals, and study case report forms. • Fit and program Earlens devices, including standard fine-tuning and follow-up procedures. • Complete study case report forms and track visits using an online database. • Provide other departments with audiology expertise as needed. • Communicate to members of the clinical, R&D, and operations teams. • Participate as a Clinical member of cross-functional project development teams. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. • Strong clinical skills including audiometry and counseling/communication with individuals with hearing loss. • An understanding of the scientific method as it relates to designing and implementing clinical studies, including hypothesis testing, study design, and interpretation of data. • Expertise in speech tests and hearing science. • An understanding of hearing aid technology and fitting systems. • The ability to interact professionally at all times with subjects, physicians, as well as collaborate with team members. • The ability to problem-solve and be flexible in a fast paced organization. • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and attention to detail. • Solid analytical and presentation skills are a plus. • The drive to help individuals with hearing loss with a unique, new technology. • Computer skills including Excel, Access, Word, Power Point, and other databases as needed. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • Masters or Doctoral degree in Audiology • Current Audiology license • Current hearing aid dispensing license is a plus
