Best regards, Volker ********************************* The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University of Oldenburg and the Department of Medical Physics and Acoustics are seeking to fill within the Cluster of Excellence “Hearing4all“ (www.hearing4all.de) as soon as possible the position of a Junior Professor (W1) „ Speech Processing and Perception Modelling “ The successful candidate should contribute to the already existing research focus areas hearing research, acoustics, speech processing and machine learning. She/he should exhibit links to the topics of the Cluster of Excellence, e.g. in audiology, (auditory) physiology, neurosensory science and systems and modern methods of communication acoustics and signal processing. She/he should be a highly qualified researcher with an international publication record and practical experience in at least one of the following areas: - Modelling of Psychoacoustics - Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) - Modelling of Speech Perception Qualifications according to § 30 NHG are required. The successful candidate is expected to contribute actively to the Cluster of Excellence “Hearing for All”, the DFG Research Unit “Individualized Hearing Acoustics” as well as to the further structured research programmes within the Centre for Hearing Research. In addition, she or he is expected to contribute to the core lecture programme of the Department of Medical Physics and Acoustics with emphasis on engineering physics, acoustics and links to medicine and neuroscience. Junior Professors are employed for a 3-year period, followed by another 3-year period after a positive intermittent evaluation.
