Our focus will = be on the rapid patterns of electrical activity that are observed during = rest, sleep, and cognition. We will compare neural activity in multiple = brain regions to simultaneously recorded EEG activity, in order to = determine how these multiscale microstates are related to sensory = processing. Results from this project will help us understand how the = EEG signal is related to the complex spatiotemporal dynamics of the = brain, its neural computations, and their relation to sensory = perception. In turn, these findings will help lay groundwork for = individualized diagnosis of brain dysfunctions. Scientific Environment:=20 The Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour consists of = three research centres, the Centre for Cognition, the Centre for = Cognitive Neuroimaging and the Centre for Neuroscience.
