Projects in the Harris laboratory explore neural c= orrelates underlying the temporal processing deficits in older adults. Spec= ifically our laboratory conducts electrophysiologic studies of the auditory= nerve, brainstem and cortex, structural MRI (including diffusion kurtosis = imaging), magnetic resonance spectroscopy, and psychoacoustic studies of sp= eech recognition. Our laboratory is a part of a very active Hearing Science= Group. The group is highly interactive and accessible, and the successful = candidate can benefit from this expertise and from ongoing collaborations w= ithin the group. Responsibilities will include data collection and analysis of human EEG, MR= I, and behavioral data. Ideal candidates should have experience with electr= ophysiological recording and/or with behavior, and a strong interest in aud= itory processing. Programming skills (Matlab and/or R) preferred. The posit= ion is available immediately. Funding is at an NIH pay scale. MUSC is locat= ed on the coastline, in the heart of historic Charleston. Please email Dr. Kelly C Harris (harriskc@xxxxxxxx) for additional informat= ion. Applicants should include a CV and a statement of interests.
