The school aims to foster and promote research and deeper understanding of specific topics in the science and technology of music. The school is organized by the Dept of ECE, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and Music Technology Group, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain, with the technical support of IEEE Signal Processing Society, Bangalore Chapter. The school is mainly aimed at research students, professionals, musicians and enthusiasts who wish to delve deeper into the structure and perception of music,=E2=80=8B and=E2=80=8B/or=E2=80=8B pursue research in music scienc= e and technology. Undergraduate students with a good background in one or more of the following topics - signal processing, machine learning, music production, psychology - are also encouraged to apply.
