The syllables were constructed from the exhaustive=20 combination of 20 onset consonants, 20 coda consonants, and 3 vowels=20 (/=C9=91/, /i/, /u/). Nineteen consonants (/p/, /t/, /k/, /f/, /=C9=B5/, /s= /, /=CA=83/,=20 /=CA=A7/, /b/, /d/, /g/, /v/, /=C3=B0/, /z/, /=CA=A4/, /m/, /n/, /l/, and /= r/) occur at=20 onset and coda consonant positions, while /h/ occurs only in onset=20 position and /=C5=8B/ only in coda. The set includes 2,400 CVCs recorded fr= om=20 each of six talkers (three female).
