Applicants holding a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree and demonstrating an outstanding record of scientific achievement will be considered. We are seeking individuals whose research addresses the neurobiology of hearing and vocal communication, including molecular, cellular and/or systems neuroscience. Successful candidates will have demonstrated creativity, scholarship and excellence in research and will maintain a high-profile research program attracting substantial extramural funding. The successful candidate will have access to state-of-the-art life science research facilities and opportunities to interact with colleagues throughout the university including in the Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program, the Northwestern Center for Audiology, Speech, Language and Learning, the Knowles Hearing Center, the McCormick School of Engineering, the Center for Advanced Molecular Imaging, the Chemistry of Life Processes Institute, the Institute for Complex Systems, and the Center for Sleep and Circadian Biology.
