There is a position available for a research audiologist in the = Department of Otolaryngology at the New York University School of Medicine = in New York City. We are searching for an audiologist (M.A., AuD or Ph.D. in Audiology) who w= ill assist our investigators (Drs. Mario Svirsky and Arlene Neuman) with re= search relevant to the coordinated fitting of devices for persons who use b= oth cochlear implants and hearing aids. We investigate sound perception wi= th each device, and aspects of psychoacoustic and speech recognition perfor= mance relevant to bimodal integration of sound. Current knowledge of cochl= ear implant and hearing aid technology and fitting procedures is required. = Applicants must be eligible for the New York State Audiology license and N= ew York State Hearing Aid Dispensing License. Primary duties will be to recruit, schedule, and test research subjects, an= d manage the resulting data. Previous experience in administering behavior= al tests (speech and/or psychoacoustic) is required; prior research experie= nce would be beneficial.
