You will have key responsibility for design and delivery of significant portions of DSP solution components within agreed timescales . Has ownership of parts of the architecture and implementation of a DSP solution develops them within agreed timescales with minimal supervision . Provides technical support to contribute to the successful on time delivery of projects . Demonstrates independent and innovative analysis, design and development to create DSP solutions components to meet specification and customer requirements in the agreed timescale . Implementing, testing and documenting software for a range of DSP platforms . Technology transfer and customer support . Responsibility to confirm through manual and automated tests and simulations conformance to a specification . Contribute to all aspects of DSP solutions components to ensure that the product is usable, competitive and meets the customer's requirements . Contributes in project meetings . Understands and follows the DSP Engineering process to achieve accuracy and consistency across the organisation . Mentors/Coaches others . Communications/presentations to internal audiences . Works to resolve customer issues with limited supervision and potentially direct contact with the customer Key Skills . Excellent programming skills, preferably in C/C++/C# and assembly . Engineering experience in principles for embedded real-time DSP . Proven experience with MATLAB/Simulink . Strong diagnostic and analytical skills. . An innovative, creative, lateral thinking problem solver . Attention to detail . Good numerical ability . Good knowledge of relevant design techniques for software products . Mentoring and coaching skills . Able to plan and manage own workload . Quality ethic, experienced in software best practice such as revision control, code reviews and unit testing . Ability to interpret results and resolve problems with minimal help from more experienced engineers. . Good commercial awareness . Good verbal and written communication skills. . Developing the ability to accurately estimate durations for design and development tasks. .
