For more information, visit our website : www.nxpsoftware.com INTERNSHIP DESCRIPTION We provide software components for the mobile industry aiming for speech enhancement in communications. One of these components addresses specifically the improvement of speech intelligibility and is thus highly related to perceptual aspects. The main objective of this internship is to specifically design psychoacoustic tests seeking perceptual optimization of this component. Keywords: psychoacoustics, speech intelligibility, speech processing, mobile industry Main steps: Study and understanding of NXP’s speech intelligibility improvement solutions Design of psychoacoustic tests Conduction of the tests Analysis of test results Integration within NXP’s solution Required skills: Digital signal processing (audio, speech) MATLAB Good written and spoken English Psychoacoustics Starting date: as of March 2014 Duration: about 6 months Location: Sophia Antipolis, France Salary: about 1000€ gross monthly This internship is an opportunity to learn both speech processing and subjective testing aspects in an industrial environment.
