Dear David I did a study of attack time and more in my PhD, vbn.aau.dk/files/46619185/tmoms.pdf (from 1999), although only on five instruments, but across the full playing range. You can look at page 133 onwards. best Kristoffer Jensen > On 05 Dec 2014, at 10:38 , David Worrall <david.worrall@xxxxxxxx> wrote: > > Hello all, > > I've been looking for some time, and failed miserably, for an old (30 yrs+) article - in JASA I think - which has graphs for each orchestral 'family' of envelope rise (attack) times across the entire range of each instrument. > > I'm afraid I can't provide any more detail than that. > > Does anyone have the reference perchance?
