Applicants should have areas of expertise that will complement = our current research strengths; teach relevant graduate and undergraduate c= ourses; mentor Ph.D students; and participate in the service of the departm= ent, college and university. One Assistant Professor position will be recru= ited specifically for research and teaching contributions to the Au.D. prog= ram (diagnostics, auditory and vestibular disorders, electrophysiology, and= /or adult amplification will be given preference; as will candidates with A= uD/PhD or MD/PhD degrees). Evidence of extramural funding commensurate with= rank is expected. In selecting the strongest applicants we will attend to = indices of quality of research and productivity, including success in obtai= ning extramural funding, publication record, and national visibility commen= surate with rank. A PhD in any discipline relevant to human communication a= nd its disorders and a record of publications in scholarly journals appropr= iate to the desired appointment level is required. Candidates whose researc= h specialization would complement or build on the core strengths of the dep= artment will be considered with preference.
