Short of separate booths in a recording = studio, all I can offer is cardioids 'on-target', but even then, the = signals are 'mixed down' with spaced or single omnis in the final = (stereo) mix - the audio mastering in 'classical' music tends to try an = preserve the acoustics of the performing venue - Chapel, Hall, etc. - so = may not be much use to you?
