All = you need is an internet connection and a pair of headphones or = loudspeakers. Link: http://www.isophonics.net/content/music-and-emotion-listening-test The entire test takes about 40 mins and please follow the instructions = on the welcome page. You will be asked to listening to each song (either 30 seconds or 60 = seconds) Rate each piece on two dimensions: valence (sad-happy), arousal = (relaxed-excited) Each piece can be only listened once, so please do not press the stop = button too quickly.=20 Due to the audio player, the test is only supported by browsers such as = IE, chrome, safari, but not firefox.=20 PS: If you would like to know the outcome of this research, please send = me an email once you finish the test. I will get back to you as soon as = I have done the data analysis for this test. Thank you very much for = taking part in this study, and please forward this email to whoever = might be interested! = --------------------------------------------------------------------------= ---- Yading Song=20 Ph.D student,=20 Room E104, Mile End Road Centre for Digital Music Queen Mary University of London twitter: @xxxxxxxx website: http://www.eecs.qmul.ac.uk/~yadings/index.html --Apple-Mail=_1B1FF09E-7E94-405A-9342-C9B35A3BE532 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Type: text/html; charset=us-ascii <html><head><meta http-equiv=3D"Content-Type" content=3D"text/html = charset=3Dus-ascii"></head><body style=3D"word-wrap: break-word; = -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; = "><div><b style=3D"font-size: 13px; ">[Apologies for = cross-posting]</b></div><div><br></div><div><span style=3D"font-size: = 13px; ">Dear all,</span></div><div><span style=3D"font-size: 13px; = "><br></span></div><div><div><span style=3D"font-size: 13px; ">Please = choose either&nbsp;<b>session 3&nbsp;</b>or&nbsp;<b>session = 4.&nbsp;</b></span></div></div><div><span style=3D"font-size: 13px; = "><br></span></div><div><span style=3D"font-size: 13px; ">I am using = dimensional model to understand musical judgement for popular music, and = I have designed a simple listening test for this = study.&nbsp;</span><span style=3D"font-size: 13px; ">All you need is an = internet connection and a pair of headphones or = loudspeakers.</span></div><div><span style=3D"font-size: 13px; = "><br></span></div><div><span style=3D"font-size: 13px; = ">Link:&nbsp;</span><a = href=3D"http://www.isophonics.net/dimensional/test/">http://www.isophonics= .net/content/music-and-emotion-listening-test</a></div><div><br></div><div= ><span style=3D"font-size: 13px; ">The entire test takes about 40 = mins&nbsp;and please follow the instructions on the welcome = page.</span></div><div><span style=3D"font-size: 13px; = "><br></span></div><div><ul class=3D"MailOutline"><li><span = style=3D"font-size: 13px; ">You will be asked to listening to each song = (either 30 seconds or 60 seconds)</span></li><li><span style=3D"font-size:= 13px; ">Rate each piece on two dimensions: valence (sad-happy), arousal = (relaxed-excited)</span></li><li><span style=3D"font-size: 13px; ">Each = piece can be only listened once, so please do not press the stop button = too quickly.&nbsp;</span></li></ul></div><div><br></div><div><span = style=3D"font-size: 13px; ">Due to the audio player, the test is only = supported by browsers such as&nbsp;<b>IE, chrome, safari,&nbsp;</b>but = not firefox.&nbsp;</span></div><div><span style=3D"font-size: 13px; = "><br></span></div><div><span style=3D"font-size: 13px; ">PS: If you = would like to know the outcome of this research, please send me an email = once you finish the test.
