The Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development seeks a known scholar in music therapy to build a scientifically rigorous research program that will complement the work of the internationally-known clinical Masters program and the prestigious Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy. This hire will establish music therapy and the other creative arts therapies within the emerging collaboration between the Steinhardt School and the NYU Langone Medical Center Rusk Institute focusing on rehabilitation sciences as well as foster other research collaborations across University. Responsibilities: The position will include development of an active program of externally funded research and publication; teaching and advisement of masters and doctoral students; and participation in faculty meetings, committees and other service appropriate to a university faculty member. Qualifications: We seek a candidate with an earned doctorate, clinical experience, a demonstrated ability to develop a nationally-recognized research program, and experience in university teaching and administration.
