It'= s then said that tinnitus=2C therefore=2C occurs at the frequency of a hearin= g loss. Even if I could be said to have an area of expertise=2C tinnitus research wouldn= 't be it=2C but it's certainly an area of interest for me and I am someone with tinnitus who has done several audiograms. On my audiogram there is a dip ar= ound the frequency of my tinnitus=2C but I suspect this dip is due to masking of= the tone or warble used rather than necessarily being indicative of a hearing l= oss. I'd be very interested to know how people make the distinction between mask= ing by tinnitus and a hearing loss. Many thanks=2C Mark FletcherInstitute of Hearing Research=2C Nottingham = --_35ada174-c185-4c55-854a-2ead1732651e_ Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html> <head> <style><!-- .hmmessage P { margin:0px=3B padding:0px } body.hmmessage { font-size: 10pt=3B font-family:Tahoma } --></style></head> <body class=3D'hmmessage'><div dir=3D'ltr'> <p class=3D"MsoNormal">Hello everyone=2C</p><p class=3D"MsoNormal"><span st= yle=3D"font-size: 10pt=3B "><br></span></p><p class=3D"MsoNormal"><span sty= le=3D"font-size: 10pt=3B ">I've noticed that tinnitus researchers often tal= k about the frequency of tinnitus being at a dip in the audiogram (in some people).
