Dear colleagues If you can stand one more point about access to published papers, I thought it might be appropriate to remind everyone in the community that open-access options do exist for publication. Specifically, I would like to take the opportunity to make a little plug for a specialty journal in the Frontiers series, called Frontiers in Auditory Cognitive Neuroscience, of which I am co-editor. http://www.frontiersin.org/Auditory_Cognitive_Neuroscience I would encourage anyone working in the domain of cognitive neuroscience of audition, in animals or humans, to consider sending us their papers. Upon publication anyone anywhere can download pdfs for free! Of course nothing in life is really free, so this option does entail publications costs. However, lots of other journals also have page charges and other fees, without offering open access. The journal has only been in existence for about two years but so far we are doing well with around 70 papers out and quite a few in the queue.
