Appointments are expected to be at the assistant level; howev= er, an especially well-qualified candidate may be appointed as associate pr= ofessor. Successful candidates will be expected to pursue vigorous research= programs. We are committed to excellence in research in communicative scie= nces across the lifespan. Areas of specialization are open. Our research = portfolio would be enhanced by expansion in areas including phonological an= d phonetic aspects of speech, aging, swallowing, neurodevelopmental disorde= rs such as autism, and degenerative and acquired neurogenic disorders. The= se positions are tenure track, 10-month appointments, earliest start date F= all, 2013. Ph.D. required; CCC-SLP or other clinical certification preferr= ed but optional. Numerous opportunities are available for interdisciplinar= y collaboration, for example, in neurosciences, linguistics, electrical and= biomedical engineering, kinesiology, aging, psychological sciences, and ph= armacological sciences.
