Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) in Cognitive Neuroscience The Department of Psychology and the Center for the Neural Basis of Cognition (CNBC) at Carnegie Mellon University seek to fill a tenure-track position in cognitive neuroscience at the assistant professor level. Area of research specialization is open but we are seeking candidates who take a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to research and whose training and research involves core issues in cognitive psychology, a strong grounding in theory, and cutting-edge neuroimaging methods. Carnegie Mellon is strongly committed to expanding cognitive and brain research spanning multiple disciplines, investing significantly in new faculty in computational, cognitive, and systems neuroscience and in new facilities, including a state-of-the- art MRI facility (http://www.sibr.cmu.edu) and high-performance computing clusters. The faculty appointment will be joint between the Department of Psychology and the CNBC (http://www.cnbc.cmu.edu). The candidate will join a growing and highly interactive cognitive and neuroscience community at Carnegie Mellon and is expected to be an active participant in the CNBC - an interdisciplinary and collaborative research and training center jointly administered across the Carnegie Mellon and the University of Pittsburgh scientific communities. A successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate significant research contributions and to have a commitment to high-quality teaching.
