Applications are invited for the position of Project Manager/Research Associate for the AIRS Major Collaborative Research Initiative (Advancing Interdisciplinary Research in Singing). The broad scope of the research includes the development of singing, how singing is taught or used to teach, and how singing impacts on well-being. The position is based at the University of Prince Edward Island, Canada and is available immediately. This international project involving over 50 researchers in over 16 countries is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. The position offers a very exciting opportunity for an individual with a unique combination of technical, management, and research strengths, and interests in music, culture, and digital communications. A doctorate in a relevant field is preferred, and salary is commensurate with experience (within the University context). Closing date: 5/10/2011.
