The most common combinations of n-AFC and adaptive up-down algorithsm are readily supported, including interleaved runs for threshold estimation if you wish, and matching experiments. What is left to you is to program/implement the generation of your acoustical stimuli, in Matlab. psylab ist free GPL'ed software and is tested well on windows and linux by some 200+ students and others over the years. My students tell me that is it working on Mac as well. (Due to some Matlab-related version upgrade problems, it is not yet working on the very newest 2011 versions, but I can supply you with a quick fix for it.) Hi, We are recruiting participants for a set of experiments to test a new =20= collaborative music-making program we are developing. We are looking =20 for people with an interest in creating music, for instance composers, =20= musicians, DJs, and students of Music, Music Technology or related =20 fields. You do not need to be able to play an instrument to take part =20= in the study. For the experiment you will work in a group with two other people, and =20= will use several different versions of our software to create some =20 music which compliments a short animation we will play to you. You will receive some training in the use of the software at the start =20= of the session. Remember, we are interested in testing the software we =20= have developed, and not your skills as musicians or composers. The experiment will be video recorded for analysis purposes, and the =20 software also logs data about how it was used. All personal data will =20= be anonymised. The experiment will last approximately 90 minutes, and =20= will be held in room 421 of the Computer Science department at Queen =20 Mary University of London. You will be paid =A310 in cash for your participation, and we can e-mail = =20 you a copy of the music you created if you wish. We are looking to recruit people as soon as possible.
