Dear List, I will be teaching a course on hearing science to first-semester Au.D. students this fall. I'm choosing between Yost's Fundamentals of Hearing and Gelfand's Hearing as the main text for the class. I haven't used either text before. A few years ago I used Plack's The Sense of Hearing, but want to try one of the other two now. The students will be taking another course on auditory anatomy and physiology concurrently. Which text do you recommend? Thank you for your input, Jen Jennifer Tufts, Ph.D., CCC-A Associate Professor University of Connecticut Department of Communication Sciences 850 Bolton Road, Unit 1085 Storrs, CT 06269-1085 (860) 486-4082 (office) (860) 486-5422 (fax)
